Hi, I’m Ben and welcome to this weeks’ Reach Beyond Quick Tip. Today, I want to share how you can increase conversions rates by 80%.
In order to achieve such a drastic result, you have to incorporate videos on your landing pages. A video increases your users understanding about a product or service by 74 percent; that number is so high because our brains process visual content 60 thousand times faster than text. In other words, a one-minute video is the equivalent to 1.8 million words.
So, enough about the stats; Let me share the most effective types of videos you need to incorporate on your website.
The first video is a testimonial video. A customer testimonial is the most effective type of online video for products or services. A video testimonial is incredibly powerful because it brings a customer’s written review to life with real emotions expressed through his or her face, voice, and words. By displaying these emotions, the viewer can establish that the review is sincere and credible. As a result, you will gain customer confidence in your business.
The next type of video is a demonstration video. This is the second most effective type of video because it simplifies the product or service for the viewer to fully understand. It reveals everything that the customer should expect to receive when they make a purchase. It also allows the viewer to imagine what it would be like to be in the shoes of someone that bought the product or service. Apple does a great job utilizing this type of video for their products on their YouTube page – a great example is their video about live photos.
If you want to incorporate a video to your webpage, but can’t currently create your own video right now, then I have the perfect quick fix for you!
That’s our third video, a vendor video. A Vendor video is a video produced from the vendor. Some vendors have a large library of videos to choose from that you can find on their YouTube Channel.
For example, in the beauty, health, and medical field, services such as CoolSculpting offer a wide range of videos on their YouTube Channel that you could consider embedding to your CoolSculpting landing page.
A vendor-produced video is great for the short term, but ideally you should plan on including your own personal videos if you want to see the best increase in conversions. Why is that? Well because it’s customized toward your business, which allows you more chances to connect with your customer on a personal level and build your brand; it also increases your search engine optimization, but I’ll save that for another video because I’m out of time.
Below, I will supply the links to any examples I mentioned in this video and if you have any questions please leave a comment!
